Kapazitive Spannungsteiler bestehen, anders als ohmsche Spannungsteiler, nicht aus Widerständen sondern aus mindestens zwei Kondensatoren. Der kapazitive Spannungsteiler funktioniert aber nur bei Wechselspannungen. Mit kap. Spannungsteilern können hohe Spannungen in einen messbaren Bereich herabgeteilt werden oder, auf günstige Weise, die Versorgungsspannung für leistungsarme Geräte realisiert werden.
