Entstör-Kondensatoren oder auch Funkentstör-Kondensatoren sind meist Polypropylen- oder Polyester-Folien-Kondensatoren. Sie werden meist direkt am Ein- oder Ausgang von Geräten platziert. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, Störungen, die von außen in das Gerät dringen, abzuleiten und das Innere des Gerätes zu schützen. Zugleich leiten sie Störungen, welche durch das Gerät erzeugt werden ab. Dies ist nötig, um eine Störung dritter zu vermeiden.
Entstör-Kondensatoren werden in zwei Klassen eingeteilt:
Funkentstör-Kondensatoren werden als Einzelbauteile in X- oder Y-Klassifizierung, als Mehranschluss-Kondensator mit X- und Y-Kondensatoren in einem Bauteil oder als Durchführungs-Kondensator mit Betriebsstromleiter angeboten.
