The electronics landscape is evolving rapidly. Engineers are under constant pressure to design smaller, more powerful, and highly efficient systems. From compact power supplies to space-constrained industrial drive and automation systems and high-density servers, the focus is on delivering maximum performance in minimal space - without compromising reliability.
That’s why selecting the right passive components is more critical than ever. Chemi-Con has proven to be a trusted partner in staying ahead of this trend. With a long-standing history of innovation, a strong commitment to quality, and a deep understanding of shifting market demands, Chemi-Con consistently delivers capacitor solutions that meet the moment.
Today, we’re excited to introduce a new generation of snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors from our partner Chemi-Con.
These capacitors incorporate newly developed, patented technologies, including advancements in cathode film and separator-structure. These capacitors represent a quantum step in the miniaturization of snap-in electrolytic capacitors - of course without compromising on endurance life. The optimized cathode film delivers a much larger surface and enables this step forward in the development of snap-in capacitors.

Key Advantages of the KHX and LHX Series:
Up to 25% Higher Capacitance: Compared to similar sizes of previous generations, these capacitors provide a breakthrough of increased capacity in the same housing. This higher capacitance density is crucial for applications that require a very compact space without compromising on performance or service life.
Up to 75% Higher Ripple Current: This is an important factor that enables these capacitors to be operated at much higher ripple currents without generating increased power losses.
Both advances together enable the realization of much more compact DC-link circuits with a significantly reduced number of capacitors in parallel connection as well as significantly reduced system costs, particularly in industrial drive technology.
Comparison with Previous Series (KMS and LXS):
| Parameter/Serie | KMS | KHX | LXS | LXH |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rated Voltage (V) | 400 | 400 | 400 | 400 |
| Size (mm) | 22x30 | 22x30 | 22x30 | 22x30 |
| Capacitance (µF) | 150 | 200 (33%) | 150 | 190 (26%) |
| Ripple Current (Arms) | 0.90 | 1.58 (75%) | 0.90 | 1.54 (71%) |
| Endurance (hrs) | 3000 | 3000 | 5000 | 5000 |
