Multi-layer varistors
Several layers of a special metal oxide varistor material (MOV), alternately connected with insulating layers, form the multi-layer varistor (MLV). The electronic components with the layered construction are used to protect sensitive circuits from transient voltage peaks and enable the combination of high dielectric strength and high power ratings in a compact component.
