What are thermal pastes? Thermal pastes are thermally conductive, non-crosslinking 1K materials, often silicone-based. They are used to fill microscopic gaps and surface irregularities between a heat source (e.g., a chip) and a heat sink.
Thanks to their special formulation and plastic consistency, they can be compressed to extremely thin layers < 25 µm. This enables exceptionally low thermal resistance and significantly enhances the cooling performance of electronic assemblies. For sensitive applications where silicone-based products are not permitted, KERAFOL® also offers silicone-free alternatives.

Note: KP12 and KP14 are based on synthetic thermal polymers and are silicone-free. KP97, KP98, and KP99 are ceramic-filled one-component silicone pastes.
