Thyristor-diode modules

Thyristor modules, also known as SCRs (Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers), have a one-way switching function. They are often used in AC circuits to control the power supply, especially at high voltages and currents. The thyristors are “fired” by a control current and remain switched on until the main current falls below a certain value or the polarity of the supply voltage is reversed. Diode modules, on the other hand, contain various diodes that act as semiconductor components and conduct an electric current in one direction. They are often used in rectifier circuits to convert alternating current into direct current.
